(A) advising the seed producer about seed production process and quality control;
(B) to perform the responsibility of monitoring the quality of seeds produced and marketed by inspection and seed testing;
(C) Collect data and data on seed production process and quality control.
(D) To certify the basis of the crop and the basic seed.
(E) To provide seed certification services to seed companies / institutions subject to the vested resources;
(F) Coordinating the work of evaluating the production of varieties of controlled crops;
(G) Collection and storage of information for low yielding diseases and pompous sensitive species.
(H) To assist the Department of Extension of the extension and use of improved seed at the farmers' level;
(I) To collect samples of standardized samples and to verify the standards declared through proper examination.
(J) Applying the provisions of the Seed Ordinance, 1977, and taking necessary action programs against the offender.
